Citrix file sharing and copying via ICA session to local PC.

    Hi Trevor

I attended a training course with you recently, but we did not touch on this and I have a small problem which I would appreciate it if you could help.

We are running Citrix at Anglo Platinum via a Secure Access Gateway (CAG).
The clients use the web browser in which they then connect to site Citrix servers, from were they run RDP sessions to the local process control servers.
On these they generate reports and would like to have the reports copied onto the local laptop hard drives.
In essence they want us to make the local hard drives available in these sessions.
We have enabled the RDP local hard drive mapping, in the citric policy as well as in the ICA protocol.
When we run the RDP Client, we get the local citrix server drives mapped and not the user's laptop drive.

Is this at all possible and if so what is the steps we must follow to get this done?

    All help will be appreciated.

    Kind regards

Re: Citrix file sharing and copying via ICA session to local PC.

If I understand correctly you are talking about two sessions here:

    1. The first from the ICA client to the Presentation Server with ICA.  This you can control with with policies, either Citrix or GPO.
    2.  The second would be from the Presentation Server to the Process Control servers with RDP.  This you can control with GPOs.  However in this case the client is effectively the Presentation Server and not the original connecting client device.  So controlling this with GPOs thus only affects the RDP connection from the Presentation Server to the Process Control servers.  You will thus not be able to make the Process Controll server drives directly available to the the ICA client as he effectively does not know about the Process Control server.
The are some ways around this.  One of which is to save the file to the Presentation Server via the RDP connection and then use the clipboard mapping function to copy it to the ICA client via ICA.  Another would be to save it to a web/ftp site and have people access it like that.  An even better solution would be to use SPS and save the file to a document library on a theam website.

d in Pakistan’s history begins with the defeat of Raj Jaipal and his son Anandpal, rulers of northern areas of Pakistan, and of the Ismaili and Carmathian rulers of it certifications southern areas i.e., Multan and Sind at the hands of Mahmud Ghaznavi, leading to the unity of the two region. Eleventh century ushered in an era of Muslim rule over the entire length and breadth of Pakistan. During the 32 years of his rule Mahmud invaded Pakistan and India ase certification more than 17 times and though he carried his successful arms up to Muthra, Kanauj, Baran and Gawaliar, he did not annex any area beyond Ravi. As such, Pakistan continued to remain separate from India, again looking westward constituting a part of the Ghaznavi Empire. The boundaries also were almost the same which had been coming down security+ certification from the days of the Indus Valley Civilization. It will be notice that this phenomena of Pakistan forming a separate country with its eastern boundaries running upto either Ravi, Beas or Sutlej has been recurring again and again.

far one of our objects has been to underline the fact that right from the days of the Indus Valley Civilization down to the end of the Ghaznavid rule at the fall of the 12th century A.D. over a period of more than four thousand ccent certification years, Pakistan has been invariably a single, compact, separate entity either independent or part of powers located to her west; its dependence on or forming part of India was merely an exception and that too for an extremely short period. It was only when the Muslims established checkpoint ccse themselves at Delhi early in the 13 century A.D. that Pakistan was made a part of India, but not in the pre-Muslim period. And once Muslims’ successors in the sub-continent, the British, relinquished power in the middle of the 20th century, Pakistan reverted to its normal position of an independent country. Indian propaganda that the division of this sub-continent was unnatural and unrealistic is fake and fraudulent. Muslims had joined this region of Pakistan with India in the early 13th ccna questions century A.D. when the Delhi Sultanate was formed; again Muslims have disconnected it from India giving it the normal and natural form which its geographical, ethnical, cultural and religious identity demanded.
